What is the Big English Wine Easter?
Last year producers and merchants took part in #theBIGenglishwinegoodfriday. A social media campaign encouraging everyone to raise a glass together in order to support local vineyards and the English wine industry. This year, its successor, the Big English Wine Easter, aims to broaden its reach across the wine trade, using its potential by extending support to those most in need.
The focus is on supporting the hospitality trade. A series of social media events with a vast range of English wine lovers will be taking place over the next couple of weeks. We want you to open a bottle of English wine and share a photo or video with the hashtags #bigenglishwineeaster and #bewe between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday 3rd April. The campaign starts today so get following the hashtags so you don’t miss an event. This year, Elizabeth Rose Wines has decided to support the #BigEnglishWineEaster in two ways. Firstly, by taking on a sponsored cycling challenge. Secondly, by donating £1 for every sale made in the month of March. The charities benefitting are: The Drinks Trust and Hospitality Action.

Open, taste and share your chosen wine(s) on the night however you like – pictures, videos, Instagram live streams! Be sure to tag the producer or seller of the wine and don’t forget to use the hashtag #BEWE so that everyone can follow the fun!
