New Years Wine Resolution

Nyetimber Classic Cuvee

It’s the start of the year and we’re all probably thinking about what we can do to be a little bit better… This year, instead of a new diet or workout regime, why not have a New Years Wine Resolution?! Whether that is to try a new style of wine or to support small vineyards, we’ve got some ideas below…

Try a new wine style…

London Cru Pet Nat

The London Cru Pet Nat

The London Cru Pet Nat is wonderfully different! This wine is made from Pinot Gris grapes which are fermented in an Egg-shaped fermenter and neutral oak barrel. During this process the wine makers didn’t use any heat control and temperatures were allowed to rise naturally. This promoted a very tropical character, peaches and mango, and builds a style of Pinot Gris which is very much unique in the UK.

The final stages of fermentation were completed in bottle to capture some of the natural carbon dioxide and provides a natural fizz.

Try a small vineyard…

Toppesfield Bacchus Reserve

The Toppesfield Bacchus

This vineyard is made up of only a handful of acres, and every grape that goes into this wine is lovingly cared for by the owners. This wine is fresh, fruity and has the characters of an English country garden – a must try for any wine lover!

Try a fortified wine…

The White Castle 1581

Move over Port! It’s all about the “Welsh Port” now!

Made in the same way as Late Bottled Vintage Port, this fortified wine from Wales is something special. Each bottle is wax sealed and numbered by hand. These half bottles don’t hang around for long – so pick up a couple on your next order!

Try a mini bottle…
