Summer is nearly here! And we are celebrating with 6 of our top-rated English rosés.
Our Very Own Elizabeth Rosé
Firstly, our very own Elizabeth Rosé is grown and produced by Sharpham in Devon, the Elizabeth Rosé is an exquisite blend of vintages to bring you the very best 100% Pinot Noir rosé. The Pinot Noir grape has been producing exceptional wines throughout the country, but this wine brings together everything that we adore about English rosé. With a beautiful salmon pink colour, this wine is bursting with strawberries, cream and delicate hints of peach. A slightly deeper colour than the ever popular Provence rosé, but don’t judge a wine by it’s colour! This rosé is just as delicate as your favourite Provence. The wine pairs perfectly with delicious summer salads, salmon, chicken and risotto.
Bluebell Vineyard Ashdown Rosé
Secondly, the Bluebell Vineyard Ashdown Rosé – a truly unique rosé produced from a blend of Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes. This wine has aromas of white peach, apricot, and ripe strawberry, and flavours of cherry, nectarine, and blackcurrant. Vivid and bold in colour, it is both full bodied and bone dry making it excellent as a mouth-watering and refreshing summer wine. Bluebell Vineyard Ashdown Rosé is also perfect as an aperitif. Or pair with salted almonds, smoked duck or cured meats, and summer fruit desserts.
Folc English Rosé 2021
Thirdly, Folc English Rosé is pale, salmon-pink in colour. Bright and vibrant on the nose. Leading with peach, cranberry and subtle spiced notes. Fresh, awakening. Crisp and clean palate with a mineral backbone. Sings English strawberries and raspberries, good acidity with zesty grapefruit nuances. Leads on from the nose well. Balanced by its floral and creamy notes, fantastic refreshing finish. Folc English Rosé: Best enjoyed on long summer evenings in the garden with friends.
Woodchurch Rosé 2020
This Woodchurch Rosé is made from Pinot Noir grapes by the talented Mattheiu Elzinga of Litmus Wines, who is known for making epic wines. Woodchurch Rosé is salmon pink in colour and displays an abundance of fresh raspberry, strawberries and cream character on the nose. On the palate the strawberries and cream come through with a vibrant, dry and refreshing acidity that leads to a balanced and long lived finish.
Toppesfield Pinot Rosé
Toppesfield Vineyard’s Pinot Rosé is a light, dry wine with hints of English strawberries and citrus. It is a gentle pink colour, with a refreshing finish and very ‘drinkable’ on a warm summers day. Toppesfield Pinot Rosé is a perfect match for fresh, citrusy fish dishes, or soft, creamy English cheeses.
Tuffon Hall Beatrice Rosé
Finally, the Tuffon Hall Beatrice Rosé offers delightful fruit blossom, pear drop and strawberries on the nose. The palate has hints of redcurrant, strawberries and raspberries with an appley note on the finish… Tuffon Hall Beatrice Rosé pairs well with Asian salads, shellfish and light tomato and herbal dishes.
