A unique and delicious lightly oaked English Bacchus.
Light green-gold in colour. The nose is clean, with hints of rose petal and subtly spicy.
The palate is dry, rich, with peach, ripe gooseberry and lime in a delightfully complex riot of flavours. A long citrus and spicy finish.
Pairs well with seafood platters and shellfish.
About the vineyard
An estate steeped in history! It is believed that Kingscote was once a hunting lodge for the King.
In 1320 the Kingscote Estate Farmhouse was built as an Iron Master’s Hall house. The iron extracted from the land was used to make cannon balls for the English civil war!
In 1884, the land at Kingscote Estate was purchased by the “greatest gardener of all time”, William Robinson who nurtured the grounds.
In 2010, Monge, who was the owner and founder of the vineyard, started his project to make exceptional wines, and the first vines were planted.
Following the loss of Monge in 2015, a new team set about building the brand and continuing Monge’s dream of creating beautiful English wines.
