About the vineyard

Ridgeview

Ridgeview has been at the forefront of the recent evolution of English sparkling wine production.

Ridgeview wines are exported around the world and served at many prestigious occasions.

The story began in 1995, when Mike and Chris Roberts had a dream to create world class sparkling wine.

20 years later, production has increased to more than a quarter of a million bottles, sold across the world.

Ridgeview is based on a belief that they have what it takes; location, family, and passion.

Situated at the foot of picturesque South Downs, the cool climate is perfect for sparkling wine viticulture.

The vines are meticulously managed and they are extremely passionate about producing the very best grapes possible.

The sole focus in the winery is to nurture our grapes into the finest sparkling wines with full fruit flavours balanced in harmony with our natural cool climate acidity.

Ridgeview has been awarded multiple international trophies and accolades.

Changing minds and hearts on the perception of English sparkling wine, they have helped pave the way for global recognition of our thriving industry.

This is a lovely sparkling wine. Really enjoyable. Very similar to Champagne.

  2. John T. (verified owner)

This would make a lovely introduction to the world of English Sparkling wine for those new to the wine type and is one of our go to’s for great tasting Fizz at a good price point. Lovely and fresh, with a good balance of zing/acidity, red apples with a smooth and not overly fizzy mousse. Finishes on notes of high quality nougat – recommended. Much better than the equivalently priced Champagne and much more interesting to drink.
