Description
The Nutbourne Chardonnay is a unique crisp dry white wine with complexity and character, made from 100% Chardonnay. Notes of apple and tropical fruits with butter and vanilla on the finish, balanced by relatively high acidity. After gentle pressing the wine undergoes slow cool fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation, then six months in French oak.
Nutbourne is a family run, boutique vineyard and winery. The vineyard has been run by the family since 1991 and they get involved with every aspect. They produce a range of award winning still and sparkling wines from grapes grown on the estate, with every part of winemaking taking place on site.
It is a wonderful place to visit in the heart of West Sussex, with wildflower meadows, alpacas, lakes, places to picnic and stunning views along the vineyard trail.
