Description
The London Cru Bacchus 2020 is made using the grapes from a single vineyard in West Sussex. This is one of the best Bacchus sites in the country, producing fruit with supreme quality, just next door to the Tillington Nyetimer vineyards.
The 2020 grapes were very aromatic, even when eater straight from the vine, they had a wonderful floral note. The grapes also had the perfect natural sugar and acid balance for the culinary style London Cru loves to make.
This Bacchus has a zingy tropical nose, passionfruit, and grapefruit in the foreground, with hints of freshly cut grass. The palate has the classic crisp English finish, lemon pith, gooseberry, and elderflower notes shine bright. There is a long textured finish from barrel ageing on lees and the skin contact component.
