The name 1276 traces back to one of the earliest recorded mentions of winemaking in the Ledbury area, when the Bishop of Hereford documented the planting of vines on its south-facing slopes. This historic note highlights a long-standing relationship between the land and the cultivation of quality grapes.
Today, those same favourable conditions remain. The combination of well-exposed slopes, supportive soils and a distinctive microclimate continues to make the area well suited to viticulture. With vines now re-established, modern winemaking builds on this heritage, combining tradition with contemporary expertise to produce wines of character and consistency.
