Balfour is one of England’s leading producers, crafting award-winning traditional method sparkling wines and outstanding still wines.
Their story began when the Balfour-Lynn family planted their first vineyards in 2002. Leslie had the dream of making a sparkling rosé, inspired by her favourite tipple Billecart Salmon Rosé. When their first Rosé launched in 2004 it quickly became a major success, winning a gold medal and trophy in the International Wine Challenge for its first vintage. The Balfour Vintage Brut Rosé remains at the heart of their production today.
Over half of Balfour’s vineyards are located on Hush Heath Estate itself in Kent, they also manage vineyards with long-term partners across the county and beyond including Essex, the new home of outstanding still wine in England.
