Gusbourne is an English wine producer focused on crafting vintage wines exclusively from grapes grown on its own estates in Kent and West Sussex. Since planting its first vines in 2004, the estate has developed a reputation for producing high-quality sparkling and still wines with a clear sense of place.
Working with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Gusbourne cultivates Burgundian clones across its vineyards, where low yields and favourable microclimates help produce concentrated, expressive fruit. These grapes form the foundation of its traditional method sparkling wines, alongside a growing range of still wines.
A low-intervention approach is followed throughout both vineyard and winery, with all fruit hand-picked and carefully selected. Winemaking combines precision and time, including gentle pressing, controlled fermentation and extended lees ageing to develop complexity and balance.
Gusbourne’s debut vintages were released in 2010 to critical acclaim, and the estate has since received numerous national and international awards. Today, it is recognised as one of the leading producers of English wine, known for consistency, detail and a focus on vintage expression.
