Description
Nutbourne Blush is a delightful dry blush rosé wine made from a combined pressing of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, with just enough skin contact to give a lovely pale pink hue. With geranium on the nose, it has a gentle wild strawberry acidity, soft citrus, redcurrant and floral herbaceous notes on the palate. A wine for quaffing on a summer's afternoon in an English country garden with friends. Serve with hors d’oeuvres or light salads, such as smoked duck breast with white peaches. Perfect with a little caviar on dill blini. The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. This painting depicts the top of our Southdown vineyard with the windbreak line of poplar trees in midsummer. Nutbourne is a family run, boutique vineyard and winery. The vineyard has been run by the family since 1991 and they get involved with every aspect.  They produce a range of award winning still and sparkling wines from grapes grown on the estate, with every part of winemaking taking place on site.

Nutbourne Wine

Nutbourne is a family-run vineyard located in West Sussex, producing a range of English still and sparkling wines from estate-grown grapes. First planted in 1979 and managed by the Gladwin family since 1991, the vineyard has developed into a well-established boutique producer within the South East.

Set on gentle south-facing slopes and sheltered by the South Downs, the vineyard benefits from a warm microclimate and green sand soils similar to those found in parts of the Champagne region. These conditions support a range of grape varieties, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Bacchus.

All aspects of production take place on site, from vineyard management through to winemaking and bottling. A combination of traditional methods and careful vineyard practices allows Nutbourne to produce balanced, expressive wines that reflect both the estate and its Sussex setting.
