Description

The Wiston Blanc de Blancs is an outstanding example of English sparkling. When writing the tasting note for this wine, the list just kept going on and on... Cream, vanilla, honey, candied lime, fresh lemon ... We couldn't get enough! The nose is bright and inviting, the mousse is rich. On the whole, an incredibly well structured wine. - Victoria Bubb, ERW Director. Drinking beautifully now but this is a well structured blanc de blancs that will continue to age nicely in the bottle. In 2006, the Goring family planted a south-facing 16-acre site with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay vines.

Wiston Estate Wine

Wiston Estate is a family-run vineyard in West Sussex, owned by the Goring family since 1743. The vineyard itself was planted in 2006 on a south-facing chalk escarpment within the South Downs, a site chosen for its similarity to some of the world’s leading sparkling wine regions.

Working with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Wiston Estate produces traditional method English sparkling wines shaped by the estate’s natural conditions. The vineyard benefits from a sheltered position and strong sun exposure, supporting consistent ripening and balanced fruit.

A strong focus is placed on sustainability and long-term stewardship of the land, with vineyard practices designed to work in harmony with the surrounding environment.
